Alcometer aka Breathalyser Lion 500 Kit is used to measure level of alcohol in the breath of an individual. It is a fully quantitative and accurate and portable breath analysis that can be used literally anywhere. Lion 500 uses the Lion fuel cell sensor, so the reading is very unlikely to be affected by anything in the subject's breath other than alcohol. It is fully automatic through microprocessor control, so very simple to use as well.
A quality product that is used extensively by Police Forces around the world for screening and evidential testing and is Type Approved by the Home Office, Great Britain for UK Police use in the United Kingdom.

To ensure accuracy of the results, Lion 500 alcometer's calibration should be checked periodically using known alcohol standard gas canister. These contain compressed air mixed with alcohol vapour in a known concentration and available in 2 options - Short Shelf Life and Long Shelf Life. As a guide, depending on the usage a recalibration should not be required before every 6 months. Both these canisters are expiry prone products so to ensure longest expiry you need not purchase the alcohol standard before you actually require them.
