Aquacel Extra Hydrofibre Dressing with strenghthening fibre is a soft, sterile, non - woven pad dressing. It is a conformable and highly absorbent dressing that absorbs the wound fluid and transforms into a soft gel which maintains a moist environment to support the body's healing process. This aids in the removal of non - viable tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement) without damaging newly formed tissue.

It absorbs upto to 30 times its weight and retain its integrity to minimise risk of excess exudate and leakage even under compression. The absorbed fluid transforms into a gel that micro-contours to the wound bed, balances moisture and leaves no gap for bacteria to proliferate.

Aquacel Extra can be cut in any direction without compromising its integrity.

Aquacel Extra has superior wet tensile strength* than other fibre and alginate dressings. It can be removed in one piece easily and eliminating pain at dressing change.

Indications -

• Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (Stage II-IV) and diabetic ulcers.

• Surgical wounds (e.g., post-operative wounds left to heal by secondary intent and donor sites).

• Partial thickness burns.

• Traumatic wounds (e.g., abrasions and lacerations).

• Exudate absorption in oncology wounds.
