Description

Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®) is a small but effective one-handed tourniquet device for controlling life-threatening bleeding of extremities.

It is the original C-A-T Tourniquet made by C-A-T Resources and approved for use by NATO Forces (NATO Stock Code NSN: 6515-01-521-7976). It is used worldwide by Police forces, NHS Ambulances, private paramedics and first responders alike as well as being used by military personnel in combat situations due to its practically possible one-handed application, small size and yet being a effective device in controlling bleeding of extremities.

Despite the proven effectiveness of the Combat Application Tourniquet®, the new C-A-T® GEN7 goes even further toward making it easier and faster to use with more efficient slack removal resulting in decreased blood loss with fewer windlass turns. All 6 components of the tourniquet have been re-designed and improved on the Combat Action Tourniquet (CAT®) GEN7.

The new features include-

1. SINGLE ROUTING BUCKLE - Decreased blood loss, effective slack removal, fewer windlass turns, simplified training with single protocol application

     standards.

2. WINDLASS ROD - Increased diameter, enhanced strength, aggressive ribbing improves grip.

3. WINDLASS CLIP - Bilateral bevelled entry, rapid windlass lock, bilateral buttress, added strength.

4. WINDLASS STRAP - New reinforced strap, grey colour for tactical considerations (Black only).

5. STABILIZATION PLATE - Reinforced, bevelled contact bar, improved comfort

6. FREE-MOVING INTERNAL BAND - Patented band within band, truly even distribution of circumferential pressure
