A&D UM102A Mercury Free Sphygmomanometer for auscultatory blood pressure measurement. Most doctors, nurses and medical professional prefer auscultatory over the oscillometric measurement. The traditional auscultatory use mercury in them for measuring and displaying the blood pressure readings. However, the use of Mercury is already banned in Medical devices in Europe and the medical devices including mercury are being phased out from rest of the world too due to its health and environmental damage.
A&D UM102A Sphygmomanometer fills in this gap by providing an auscultatory blood pressure measuring device that uses the most prefered blood measuring technology but without containing the mercury. The results are depicted on a vertical LCD display. It also incorporates some of the features from the oscillometric automatic blood pressure devices like the display of the patient's pulse reading. Clinically validated by European Society of Hypertension.
